American Industries Group to Invest 142 Million Dollars in New Industrial Park in Chihuahua

  • American Industries Chihuahua Industrial Park will provide a space for all types of manufacturing companies and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

Chihuahua, Chihuahua; April 18, 2023.- American Industries Group, a Mexican company specializing in the industrial real estate sector and an expert in facilitating the establishment of foreign companies in the country, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the American Industries Chihuahua Industrial Park. The project, which represents an investment of 142 million dollars, will be built on 54.5 hectares and will house 13 industrial buildings with an area of 44.3 hectares. The park’s first speculative warehouse is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

In attendance at the event were María Angélica Granadas Tres Palacios, Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, who attended on behalf of Maria Eugenia Campos Galván, Governor of Chihuahua. Also present was the Mayor of Chihuahua, Marco Bonilla, along with American Industries board members Alejandro Lara and Luis Lara, accompanied by Liliana Hernández, CEO of American Industries, and Aáron Gallo, Director of Real Estate for American Industries.

Initial construction on the building will generate nearly 450 jobs. In addition, due to its strategic location just 2 minutes from the Chihuahua International Airport and 372 km from the northern border, it is expected that the warehouses will be occupied mainly by foreign manufacturing companies from all types of industries.

“With this new industrial park, American Industries will continue to strengthen its investment and expansion plan by providing new space solutions for foreign companies planning to bring their manufacturing and distribution operations to Mexico. Our main goal is to offer spaces with he highest quality and best infrastructure to facilitate their successful establishment in the country in the shortest possible time,” added Sandra Malottky, Director of Business Development for the Chihuahua Region.

American Industries has undoubtedly been one of the private Mexican companies that has benefited from nearshoring, with a portfolio of more than 140 industrial properties throughout Mexico and a presence in 16 industrial parks in the areas with the greatest demand. The company was founded in Chihuahua by the late businessman Luis Lara Armendariz in 1976. We will also redouble efforts to locate more sustainable energy and water consumption sources and build new industrial buildings with green certifications in line with the international trends in ESG criteria,” highlighted Liliana Hernandez, CEO of American Industries Group.
