in Record Time with the Help of American Industries
When Zhongli Group (ZG) arrived in Mexico, they hadn’t heard of American Industries Group (AI) or shelter services in Mexico. What they did have at the time was a very urgent need to start up operations there, to meet the demands of a key international client in Guadalajara. Luckily for ZG, they came into contact with AI through its REAL ESTATE DIVISION in their search for leasing an industrial property. As agents from the real estate division found out more about the company’s needs, it became clear that they needed more support than just help finding the proper location and facility for its operation if they were going to succeed in meeting their clients’ requirements.
Zhongli Group (ZG) is a cable and photovoltaic products manufacturing company that makes several high-tech products including high and low voltage wire and cable, special cable series, optical fiber preform, fiber optic cable series, photovoltaic industry chain series, new polymer materials series, titanium 3D printing, and military electronic series in high-tech fields in different parts of the world. Founded in 1988, it has expanded over the years into an international company with headquarters in China and operations in Singapore, Germany, the USA, Switzerland, Italy, Britain, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Mexico, among others.
In August of 2019, market changes resulted in one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies coming to them with a need for manufacturing, and they rose to the challenge.
Enter AI’s team. Though AI is accustomed to working under tight deadlines and finding solutions to all types of problems for their clients, this project was unique. Not only did AI need to obtain all the proper municipal and import-export permits required, hire a labor force with specific requirements, find a facility that was large enough to house ZG’s operations, but also adapt to cultural differences.
When wanting to start up business in Mexico, it is essential not to underestimate the importance of the support and advice included as part of the shelter administrative services, which guarantees clients make the most informed decisions. This support helps business owners adapt to and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, cultural norms, and differences in industrial and manufacturing processes, not to mention language barriers. All these factors can hinder or even completely halt the process of starting up manufacturing in Mexico if are not correctly handled.
Upon signing the shelter services contract, the AI team set to work immediately to start up ZG’s operations. Just as ZG contributes to bringing people closer by creating a bridge for communications, AI closed the gaps to get ZG up and running in a record time of just three weeks—nearly a quarter of the time it usually takes.
Today, ZG continues operating in the nearly 20,000 sq. ft. facility, exporting their product worldwide. AI continues to go above and beyond to help ZG ensure it can uphold its commitment to reliability, devotion to work, unity and innovation, and providing safe and dependable products and efficient service to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of its global market. Thanks to this, ZG has recently renewed the shelter contract signed in 2019—a win-win situation for everyone.
