Key Investments: More than $105 Million and 513 New Jobs
During a recent tour of Japan, the Guanajuato government secured $105.8 million in investments, which will generate 513 direct jobs in the state. These investments include projects by companies such as Senyo, Nagase Atecs, and NHK Spring, focused on the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors.
- Senyo: Will invest $20 million in a plant in Abasolo, generating 70 jobs.
- Nagase Atecs: Will allocate $11 million for a plant in León, creating 130 jobs.
- NHK Spring: Will expand its plant in Irapuato with an investment of $55 million, adding 233 jobs.
These investments reflect the confidence of Japanese companies in Guanajuato's talent and infrastructure.
Strengthening the Automotive Sector and Commitment to Production
Guanajuato is home to four automakers and produces more than 900,000 vehicles annually, with a capacity to exceed one million units. During the tour, executives from Mazda and Toyota reiterated their commitment to the state. Toyota, for example, has invested $2.3 billion in Guanajuato, creating 2,800 direct jobs.
These relationships strengthen the local supply chain and promote links with suppliers, including small and medium-sized businesses.

Agrifood Expansion in the Asian Market
In addition to the industrial sector, Guanajuato seeks to expand its agrifood presence in Asia. During the FOODEX Japan 2025 fair, 14 Guanajuato companies presented products such as tequila, mezcal, mole, and specialized packaging.
In 2024, the state's agri-food sector exported nearly $2.5 billion, consolidating its position as the second most important cluster after the automotive industry. This sector represents 15.7% of the state's GDP and generates more than 317,000 jobs.
