# American Industries — Shelter Services

> American Industries (AI Shelter) is a trusted facilitator for the establishment and growth of foreign manufacturing companies in Mexico. Founded in 1976, with 50 years of experience, 300+ companies supported, and foreign direct investment from 20+ countries. AI Shelter operates under Mexico's shelter manufacturing model, acting as the legal entity and employer of record so that foreign manufacturers can focus entirely on production while AIG handles HR, payroll, tax compliance, trade regulations, and government relations.

American Industries is part of American Industries Group (AIG), an integrated ecosystem that also includes AI Real Estate (industrial parks and facilities) and Rio Bravo International Services (cross-border logistics and warehousing). This integrated structure — shelter operations + proprietary industrial real estate + logistics — is a key differentiator, as most competitors operate only one of these verticals.

AIG operates in 10 regions across Mexico: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Saltillo, and Torreon.
