Clarion announces August 2010 production start-up in Mexico of car navigation systems for Central & South America markets

Clarion Co., Ltd. (President: Tatsuhiko Izumi), with car navigation production operations currently in Japan, China and Hungary, will soon begin production at its Mexican subsidiary in order to better serve the Central & South American navigation market.

In addition to eliminating Brazilian import duties thanks to transferring production to Mexico, a significant cost benefit will be realized by integrating navigation and audio into a single system.

The move is expected to further expansion in the growing Central & South American market.
