Reforestation Event We live in a constantly changing and complex environment in which everyone’s actions have a tremendous impact on it. Companies have a very important role in this scenario. Our decisions may affect it positively or negatively. We must strive to make our negative impacts as low as they can be while making our positive ones as powerful as they can get.

Socially Responsible Business Award (Mexico)

We have the distinction of being presented with the Socially Responsible Business Award in Mexico. This Award has been given since the year 2000 to companies that demonstrate and execute solid socially responsible initiatives that support quality of life within the company, business ethics, community involvement and environmental stewardship.

Environmental

As an industrial developer we are aware of the environmental impact we cause because of our construction activities. This is why we work side by side with our subcontractors to minimize this impact throughout the construction of any of our buildings.

Environmental focus:

• American Industries protects the environment through construction and maintenance procedures that comply with all applicable environmental regulations and requirements.
• The company has established a well-define policy about optimization of resource usage during operations: reducing paper programs, energy and operational waste.
• American Industries has been presented with the Environmental Award since 2008. The Environmental Department of Chihuahua City gives this award to companies that fulfill all the environmental requirements established by the Mexican law.

Community Support

American Industries promotes community development through active participation. We have an enormous responsibility towards the communities where we operate that is why we have established appropiate programs to support its wellness:

• Funding social projects.

• Identifying and selecting non-profit organizations as candidates to funding.

• Encouraging employees to participate in volunteer programs.
